Our Approach to Working in Partnership with Indigenous Peoples For Better Conservation Outcomes

WCS Canada

Abstract

WCS Canada is an organization of conservation scientists that engages with Indigenous Peoples on research and conservation action across our programs in Canada. We are working to be a respectful partner to
Indigenous Peoples and support Indigenous-led conservation. Our work to date includes a mixture of different experiences, lessons learned, and some successes and failures in conservation research and practice with
Indigenous Peoples. This document is an opportunity to consider what we have learned and how we can improve.
