Key Biodiversity Areas

Jessica Reid completed both her Bachelor's and Masters' degrees in Biology at Carleton University. Since 2019, her work has focused on the ecology of freshwater fishes and benthic macroinvertebrates.

Jessica is a passionate science communicator and enjoys sharing highlights of her work through social media, popular science articles, and various outreach events. Her work on supporting evidence-based management decisions for freshwater biodiversity in Canada has been nominated for the Peter's Award from the Society of Canadian Aquatic Sciences.
