Francis Ordonez is a Geographer and Environmental Engineer dedicated to addressing environmental challenges and achieving conservation goals through scientifically informed solutions. She has made significant contributions by mapping critical and rare ecosystems, as well as identifying wildlife threats, which have been instrumental in developing comprehensive management plans for protected areas. Her work has played a crucial role in shaping national strategies to safeguard endemic ecosystems from industrial threats in Ecuador. Recently, she completed a Diploma in Environmental Technology at Niagara College. She integrated geospatial data with conservation science to create visual and interactive tools that substantially enhance the monitoring and protection of vulnerable species and habitats.
