Allison McKenzie serves as the Youth and Community Engagement Coordinator for the ONB Program. Allison completed degrees in History and Outdoor Recreation at Lakehead University. Allison has since completed the Ontario Master Naturalist certification and is a registered member of the Ontario College of Teachers (qualified in Intermediate/Senior History and Environmental Science).

Allison has a passion for providing experiential education opportunities – particularly in outdoor settings. She has a variety of previous work in education and recreation-based programming, including the creation of an outdoor-focused summer camp. These have provided her experiences that enable her to support the youth programming component of the Learning from Lake Sturgeon project (a co-led project with Moose Cree First Nation and WCS Canada), where she aims to inspire youth to pursue environmental stewardship.
